Canasil Acquires 60,000 Hectare Claim in Southeastern Durango State, Mexico

November 9, 2010

Vancouver, Nov. 09, 2010 - Canasil Resources Inc. (Canasil, TSX-V: CLZ) announces that the Company has acquired a significant additional claim area in southeastern Durango State, Mexico, through staking of 60,000 hectares. The new claim covers a very large prospective area identified through prior reconnaissance work. This is an important step in expanding the Company’s strong project portfolio in Durango State, Mexico, on the highly prospective and productive silver/gold trend running through this State.

The new VICTORIA claim covers part of the Company’s previous Victoria project area, which originally covered 200,000 hectares. This extremely large claim area was reduced in 2009 as part of a program to manage claim expenditures. However prospecting in the area had identified several areas of interest with anomalous surface geochemical signatures and structures. The new 60,000 hectare claim covers the most important of these areas and provides the opportunity for further evaluation to expand the Company’s project portfolio in a very attractive location in Mexico for precious and base metal exploration projects.
