Bahman Yamini
Director, President & CEO
Mr. Yamini serves as a Director and President & CEO of Canasil; his professional career has focused on international trade and the supply of industrial products and systems to developing economies, specializing in the automotive and telecommunications industries, which has involved cooperation with a number of major international corporations. His primary focus is Canasil’s development strategy and operations, project acquisition agreements and the Company’s cooperation agreements with joint venture partners. Mr. Yamini holds degrees in Engineering Science, Production Engineering and Business Management.
Kerry Spong
VP Finance, CFO
Mr. Spong is an accountant with extensive experience in public and private practice. He has worked in the preparation and review of financial data including audit work for a wide range of mineral exploration companies. He acted as a Director of Primary Metals Inc. and CFO of Riverstone Resources Inc., subsequently True Gold Mining until its acquisition by Endeavour Mining in 2016. He also acts as a director of Abacus Mining and Exploration Corp.
Erme Enriquez
Director Exploration and Development, Mexico
Mr. Enriquez, a graduate of Universidad de Sonora (B.A. Geology) and Colorado School of Mines (M.Sc. Economic Geology and Exploration), has held a variety of positions as an exploration and mine geologist, including Chief Geologist at Luismin’s Tayoltita Mine and as Exploration Manager for Mexico with Luismin and former Wheaton River Minerals Ltd. (later Goldcorp). His team was involved in major discoveries in all three major areas of Luismin’s operations: the San Dimas district, the San Martin District and La Guitarra District. He joined former Capstone Gold Corp. (now Capstone Mining) in 2003 as Exploration Manager for Mexico, and subsequently became an independent consultant to various Canadian and Mexican companies including Canasil, before he became a full time Director of Exploration for Canasil in Mexico. Mr. Enriquez is affiliated with several professional geological associations including: the Geological Society of America, the Association of Mining Engineers, Metallurgists and Geologists of Mexico, of which he was president in several districts. He is also a member of the American Institute of Professional Geologists (CPG 11214) and the Society of Economic Geologists where he has acted as correspondent and president for the Mexico and the Caribbean districts.
Graham H. Scott
Corporate Secretary and Legal Counsel
Mr. Scott acts as Counsel in the law firm Bennet Jones LLP of Vancouver, B.C., specializing in the areas of mining and securities law. Mr. Scott holds undergraduate and post-graduate degrees in Economic Geology, and prior to his legal career was a practicing Exploration Geologist in North America and Africa. Mr. Scott is a well-recognized keynote speaker at legal and industry related conferences and provides insight into the understanding of both legal issues and the technical requirements necessary for the successful management of mineral exploration and mining companies. Mr. Scott represents many Canadian public companies which are listed on the TSX and TSX Venture Exchanges, in addition to clients in the corporate finance business.
